CETRIS board properties

CETRIS combines the durability of cement with the lower weight and workability of wood. The board is made mainly from cement and wood chips.

Eight documented properties
No asbestos or formaldehyde
According to the manufacturer, the boards contain neither asbestos nor formaldehyde and resist petrol and oils.
Frost-resistant
Tested over 100 freeze–thaw cycles to EN 1328.
Weather-resistant
Moisture resistance makes the board suitable for wet areas and correctly detailed exterior assemblies.
No hazardous substances
The board is odourless and, according to the manufacturer, contains no hazardous substances.
Sound-insulating
The manufacturer states 30–35 dB airborne sound insulation. This is not the same measure as sound absorption for AKUSTIC boards.
Resistant to fungi and mould
The moisture-resistant surface helps prevent mould growth on the board.
Resistant to insects
The high cement content makes the material resistant to insect attack.
